Jeff Cohen

Bringing two decades of experience in the audio post-production world to one of the finest audio recording studios in Canada, Jeff stands at the helm of postRevolution, providing the post-production industry with the opportunity to record sound at a higher level. With expertise in all facets of audio production and project efficiency, Jeff has teamed up with Canadian powerhouse studio Revolution Recording to provide the post-production world with access to Toronto's finest and most tricked-out studios, formerly reserved for album production for many of the world's greatest recording artists. The studios have been widely recognized as Canada's pre-eminent recording destination - winning that accolade at CMW's 2017 and 2019 awards.

Head Engineer

Stephen Koszler

Stephen has decades of audio engineering and production expertise, and has served for many years as Chief Engineer for Revolution Recording studios.

His engineering and mixing portfolios include working with RUSH, Chantal Kreviazuk, Barenaked Ladies, The Sadies, Alessia Cara, Great Lake Swimmers, Los Lobos, Big Wreck, Ghostface Killah, The Dears, Scott Helman, Three Days Grace, Buffy Sainte-Marie, The Red Horse Rebellion, BadBadNotGood, Folly & The Hunter, Leading Armies, Whitehorse, Communism, and Danko Jones. 

Stephen is as solid as they come, providing calm and balance while manning the boards and furthering the emotive power of sound.

Engineer | Technical Manager

Luke Schindler

Hailing from London Ontario, Luke joined Revolution Recording after graduating from OIART (Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology) in 2012. After making a strong impression as a studio intern, Luke was quickly brought on board at Revolution and has been engineering at the studio ever since.

He's worked with Billy Talent, City and Colour, Jann Arden, Gord Downie, Buffy Sainte-Marie, to name a few, as well as commercial and post-production clients including Silent Joe, Vapor and Disney/ABC.

Luke also servies as Technical Manager, with a deep and intricate understanding of the inner-workings of the studios down to every last cable, knob and switch.

Kim Cooke

A long-time figure in the Canadian Music Industry, Kim is a partner/co-owner of postRevolution, Revolution Recording studios, and Canadian indie music label Pheromone Recordings.

Kim currently sits on the board of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, is a member of the Board of Governors of Massey Hall-Roy Thompson Hall Corporation, and is Co-Chair - Nominating & Voting for CARAS and The JUNO Awards. He was a founding board member of the Polaris Music Prize.

As founding General Manager of MapleMusic Recordings, Kim signed and helped develop the careers of Sam Roberts, Kathleen Edwards, Joel Plaskett, The Dears, Martha Wainwright, Pilate and more.

Previous to that, Kim spent 24 years with Warner Music Canada, rising to Senior VP/General Manager. In the A&R chair at Warner he signed Sarah Slean, Great Big Sea, Big Wreck, Colin James, Odds and more.

João Carvalho

João is a multi award-winning Canadian recording & mastering engineer, producer, and musician. A pioneer of the Canadian music recording industry, with over 2000 records mastered or produced, including Rush, The Tragically Hip, Max Webster, The Sheepdogs, Smashing Pumpkins, Ron Sexsmith, and Walk Off the Earth.

João is a partner/owner of postRevolution, Revolution Recording and João Carvalho Mastering. As a self-described "sonic perfectionist," João believes in listening without compromise, and brings his unique sensibility to every musical endeavor as both a professional musician and an award-winning mastering engineer. He provides a true understanding of what artists seek and delivers what audiences love.

João's passions include a love for cool cars, anything that's meticulously designed for longevity and an obsessive appreciation for fine audio equipment.

Joe Dunphy

JUNO-award winning producer and co-owner of Revolution Recording, Joe is also widely acclaimed as a tech visionary, mentor and veteran of the Canadian music industry.  Joe specializes in designing studio recording systems, including those of Deadmau5 and the National Music Centre. He has a passion for - and encyclopedic knowledge of - analog sound and equipment, and a talent for matching them to the work.

Joe has worked with countless artists and musicians including RUSH, Gord Downie, The Tragically Hip, Hayden, k.d. Lang, City and Colour, Big Wreck, Barenaked Ladies, By Divine Right, Skydiggers, Joel Plaskett, Dave Bidini, Holy Fuck, The Lowest of The Low, Ron Hawkins, Public animal, Wilderness of Manitoba, Steph Cameron, Tri-Continental, and Serena Ryder.

In 2011 Joe opened the doors to Revolution Recording, stocking it to the rafters with the Studio's now-famous vintage gear, including the legendary RCA 1974 Neve console.
